Understanding Roundup

Roundup, produced by Monsanto, ranks among the most extensively used herbicides globally. It is primarily utilized in agriculture for weed control.


In 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer classified Glyphosate, the principal ingredient in Roundup, as a likely carcinogen for humans. Studies associating this chemical with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma were also referenced.

Prolonged exposure to Roundup, particularly among workers in environments like farming, gardening, and other agricultural sectors, may increase risk levels. This risk can arise from inhaling the herbicide during application, or consuming water or food contaminated with it.
